Our buying sectors are Foundries, Machining, Electronics, Windings, high speed ball bearings and also more complex sectors such as actuators, sensors and exchangers.
Our aim is to meet or even exceed our customers’ requirements. To achieve this, we must set up our panel composed of the best suppliers in their sector, witch also apply a continuous improvement policy.
We also ask them to support us in our major projects, such as the A380 and the NH90, as well as in the development of new processes offering weight savings or performance enhancements, and on cost reduction projects, enabling us to sustain our position and satisfy market demand. They must also be capable of determining their capacity and workload at any time, adapt to variations, taking globalisation into account and working in partnership with us as a major player, at the cutting edge in their sector.
This dynamic is essential, and this is why we have set up a "Supplier selection" process which starts with a targeted upstream evaluation in three fields - buying, quality and logistics - and concludes with a "Half-year assessment" measuring the organization and performance achieved by our main suppliers in these three fields. Suppliers are then classified, depending on the satisfaction percentage achieved, and numbered, in order, 1 to N.
Our aim is to work with the best, to structure a reasonable panel in such a way that we concentrate our buying potential and encourage partnerships.
